Well, now that i have started writing, i feel motivated to write on
various topics. Let me start with my baby. Well, Sriram is 15
months old now and he is the sole motivator behind the creation of
my blog. I am writing these random stories from my life so that he
can read thru them once he is big enough and probably appreciate
them. I still recall the days when he was barely 10 days old. I was
recovering from my delivery and was dreading everything. I wanted
to eat all those lovely aroma-filled dishes, but all those were a
big taboo. Only pathiyam sapppadu was to be followed. It consisted
of thipili rasam, garlic fried in ghee, manathakali fried, milk
rice, moong dal, veggies like avarakka, carrot, beans, sundakka and
no potato. I did follow them all, because my mom said that i will know their
benefits in the years to come. And then followed by arishtams,
kashayam and betel leaf........yuck! It left so much stains on my
teeth that i got a tooth polish to whiten them! But once again
thanks to my mom, it helped my baby not to vomit after his feed. I
heard betel leaf has some properties which help in calcium and
digestion as well. Well, kudos to my mom for eficiently helping me
out. More to come.........

Winter in Scotland
This is the perhaps the longest period in my life where I have also gone into a period of hibernation like those animals do in winter. Yes, winter in Scotland is at its peak now. We never go out except to buy groceries and essentials. And, by the time we are back home, my god, its like the end of a journey. A typical day to Asda walmart starts at 2 in the afternoon. I feed my baby Sriram at 12.30 and he finishes only by 2! So its a big process, you see.And then we get him ready and jump into the taxi. The process then starts, we get down at Asda and Sriram refuses to sit in the pram!
So we try all mehods to distract him but in vain. But we continue shopping, and finally we are done in 2 hrs time. Wow!!!
The worst part is coming home and organising the stuff. Because Sriram gets busy by then and we again distract him, but in vain. Somehow, we arrange the stuff and see the time, its 7 pm!
So thats it, end of day, and then Sriram's dinner and another hour is gone.
By 9 pm, my hubby says come lets watch a movie. We browse and land up on some movie and Sriram starts crying! So now its time to sleep! Wow, what a day.
Well, motherhood has indeed changed me a lot. A typical 'me' would have gone hyper after the commotion of the day's activities prior to marriage. But now am a cool and chilled out mom. Well, all thanks to Sriram, again!
